Taylor Wimpey West Scotland has supported the charity Baby Bank Scotland this month with ten staff members volunteering their time for a couple of days at the charity’s Hamilton base.

The volunteers helped the charity with essential tasks, such as unpacking and sorting donations, preparing family support packs, and organising donated items for distribution to families in need within Lanarkshire and surrounding areas.

Baby Bank Scotland provides support to families undergoing financial hardship by supplying essential items for babies and children, such as clothing, nappies, toiletries, toys and equipment.

The charity is heavily reliant on community donations and volunteer support to cater for its services’ rising demand.

Audrey Ross, sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey West Scotland, said: “At Taylor Wimpey West Scotland, we’re passionate about supporting the communities in which we build, and we’re always keen to help organisations that make a real difference to local people.

“We have supported Baby Bank Scotland for a number of years with a donation of £25 paid for each home we’ve sold at our two local developments in Hamilton.”

Ross added: “Volunteering and seeing their support firsthand were rewarding for everyone involved, and we were inspired by the dedication of the staff and volunteers who work tirelessly to ensure families receive the essential items they need.”

Janette Meechan, charity manager at Baby Bank Scotland, said: “Volunteer support is incredibly important to us and helps ensure we can continue meeting the growing demand for our services.

“The team worked enthusiastically across a wide range of tasks and made a genuine difference over the two days.”
