prompted an urgent search for a new location to operate from.

Taylor Wimpey West Scotland has teamed up with Baby Bank Scotland in a partnership that will see the housebuilder donate £25 for each new home sold and legally completed within the first phase of 163 new homes at its Oakwood Grove development in Hamilton.

In total, a grand sum of £4,075 will be paid to Baby Bank Scotland as work at the development progresses. This initiative signals a long-term relationship and the money will go directly to supporting the work that Baby Bank Scotland provides locally from its current hub within the North Stand of Hamilton Accies stadium.

Baby Bank Scotland aims to support babies and children who are living in poverty by appealing to the local community to donate baby and child essentials.

Jillian Thompson, manager and trustee for Baby Bank Scotland, said: “We are extremely grateful for the pledge of support that we have received from Taylor Wimpey West Scotland, and we can’t thank them enough. This money will be put to work to support young families living in poverty. On behalf of everyone who uses our services in Hamilton and across the local area, I would like to say a huge thank you.

“Their support comes at a very challenging time for us because following a devastating flood we urgently need to find new premises. Ideally these would still be in Hamilton, but we will also consider Blantyre, Motherwell and Bellshill as they would still allow us to serve the communities of North and South Lanarkshire who access our service.”

Audrey Ross, sales and marketing director at Taylor Wimpey West Scotland, added: “We are delighted to be able to support Baby Bank Scotland in this meaningful way.

“Our announcement signals the creation of a relationship with a very worthy local organisation that will provide a link between the new community emerging at our Oakwood Grove development, and the existing community of Hamilton. Working with Baby Bank Scotland is a real honour and we are extremely proud to support this incredible local charity.

“Being able to work with local charities and organisations that surround our developments means a great deal to us, and it’s always lovely to know that we are helping to make a difference to the lives of people in our local communities. We hope they are successful in their active search to find new premises soon and would urge anyone who can help to get in touch with them directly.”
