Thomas & Adamson rebrands as Egis

Construction and property consultancy Thomas & Adamson has rebranded as Egis, the global consulting, engineering, and operating firm it was acquired by in 2024.

Founded in 1935, Thomas & Adamson has earned a strong reputation for delivering project management, cost management, building surveying and construction safety services to clients in the built environment across the UK and beyond.

The firm said the rebrand reflects the strategic integration of the two businesses since the acquisition, bringing together Thomas & Adamson’s deep sector expertise with Egis’ international resources and capabilities.

The strong team of over 100 employees will continue serving clients from Scotland, London and the Middle East, now with access to Egis’ global resources spanning 22,000 people across 70+ countries. This includes specialist capabilities in sustainable infrastructure, transport systems, aviation consulting, asset management and digital transformation.

Egis is delivering some of the most significant infrastructure projects in the UK and Ireland. This includes playing a leading role in critical energy infrastructure projects such as Hinkley Point and Sizewell C, significant digital asset management assignments with national clients such as Network Rail and Transport Infrastructure Ireland and delivering a broad range of transportation projects such as the Midlands Metro Alliance and the Old Oak Common railway station.

The integration of Thomas & Adamson to the UK and Ireland team adds a strength in the built environment that will support the ongoing growth and success of Egis across the region.

Francois Basselot, managing director of Egis in the UK and Ireland, said: “For more than 90 years, Thomas & Adamson has built an outstanding reputation within the construction and property sector. Adopting the Egis name reflects the strategically important role this team plays within our global business and delivers benefits for both clients and colleagues.

“This team shares Egis’ core values – a commitment to technical excellence, exceptional client service, and long-term relationships. Together, we’re building a stronger, more innovative firm, offering clients enhanced capability and greater value under the Egis brand.”

Zander Muego, director at Thomas & Adamson, added: “This marks an exciting next chapter for our business. Being part of a global entity provides opportunities to develop and innovate in ways that strengthen what we already do well.

“Our focus remains firmly on building relationships, delivering a great service and expanding on the expertise that has defined Thomas & Adamson for over 90 years – the same team delivering for our clients but now with the reach and backing of Egis. We’re proud of our heritage and equally excited about our future.”
