The project, commissioned by Union Investment, has reimagined the building’s main reception, arrival experience and occupier amenities.

Initially serving as Glasgow’s Head Post Office and central Telephone Exchange, the new architectural additions are inspired by its civic and telecommunications background. The design brings in a tactile material palette and layered textures. 

Alongside the reception area, the project brings in enhanced end-of-trip facilities, active travel infrastructure, and improved shared areas designed to support flexible, wellbeing-driven work habits. 

Kieron Goodman, director at Threesixty Architecture, said: “G1 demonstrates how established city-centre assets can evolve to meet the expectations of today’s occupiers without losing the character that makes them important to the city.

“By drawing on the building’s original purpose and heritage, we’ve created a workplace environment that supports wellbeing, flexibility and long-term sustainability while giving the asset a renewed sense of identity.”
