TSL submitted the application for planning permission for land opposite Woodside Cottage in Salen, reports The Herald. 

All flats would be one-bedroom properties and the houses would be six three-bedroom and six two-bedroom units. The scheme will be completed in two phases. 

By late August, council planning officials are anticipated to rule on the application and members of the public will be able to view plans and provide feedback.

A supporting statement from the planning agent Bracewell, said: “The proposed development has been designed to create a coherent and attractive residential environment which responds positively to the existing settlement pattern of Salen and the character of the surrounding area.

“The proposal will make a meaningful contribution towards addressing identified local housing need within Argyll and Bute through the delivery of 100% affordable housing by West Highland Housing Association.”
