US firm acquires Lyndon Scaffolding

The independent scaffolding contractor behind the construction of the Scottish Parliament building has been bought by a US industrial services firm.

Lyndon Scaffolding, which operates in Scotland from a base at Broxburn, has been acquired by Georgia-headquartered BrandSafway.

The contractor will be merged with the US firm’s SGB scaffolding and access unit to become Lyndon SGB by BrandSafway.



With other locations in London, Birmingham Manchester, and Barry, Wales, Lyndon Scaffolding provides comprehensive access solutions for the commercial construction, industrial and infrastructure markets

Established in 1968, Lyndon Scaffolding has sales of £50 million, more than 600 employees, and over £35m in assets. It has worked on some the UK’s largest projects including JubileeBridge at Runcorn, BBC Broadcasting House, Tate Britain, Severn Bridge, Birmingham Gateway Station, Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, and the Scottish Parliament building.
