Winners of Scottish Design Awards 2026 announced

The winners of the Scottish Design awards have been announced, with the winning works ranging from a boathouse and bothy in East Lothian to the delivery of multigenerational care in Sutherland.

The nominations represent ingenuity, artistry and creativity during a period of machine influence on design work.

James Denholm, founder of James Denholm Architects, said: “Very interesting being on the judging panel for the Scottish Design Awards in Glasgow, generally a very high and uplifting standard of entries and solutions.

“Often, small margins secured an award, but all were well discussed and agreed upon by the panel.”

Lois Daly, creative director at We Are Brass Tacks, commented: “Really impressed by the standard of work and the quality of discussion throughout the judging process.
There were strong contenders across multiple categories, many demonstrating real clarity of thinking alongside outstanding execution.

“The final results are a genuine reflection of the quality of creative work being produced by Scottish agencies.”
