This follows the recent Approval of Matters Specified in Conditions (AMSC) granted by Fife Council for the first 68 homes.

Whitefield Gardens will deliver a variety of two, three, four and five-bedroom homes designed to appeal to a broad range of buyers. The development will also incorporate features linked to the site’s heritage, including a character seating area built around the original dated lintel from the former Wester Whitefields farm buildings. Incidental play spaces will be integrated throughout to encourage informal outdoor activity for families.

Infrastructure works, both on and off-site, have been underway for several months, laying the groundwork for the long-term vision of Whitefields. Once complete, the masterplan will deliver around 1,400 new homes, a new primary school, shops and community facilities, extensive green space, and improved transport connections.

Plans also include new cycleways and footpaths to support safe routes to school, enhancements to Kingseat Road (West) and Whitefield Road (B912), and the integration of the Northern Link Road.

The provision of green spaces will also play a central role in the emerging neighbourhood, with meadow grasslands, equipped play areas, and biodiversity measures such as bird bricks and hedgehog highways helping to create a healthy and sustainable place to live.
