Details: Amey is seeking to appoint a suitably experienced sub-contractor to undertake the refurbishment of the Forth Road Bridge underdeck access system. Currently there are approximately 10km of suspended underdeck access walkways which are approaching end of life status, this project will be phase 4 of a 12 phase project that will be undertaken over the next 6-7 years and is to facilitate the upgrading and refurbishment of steel walkways beneath the suspended spans of the Forth Road Bridge and will improve access over the entire underside of the bridge. This phase of the project will focus on improving circa 0.6km of the underdeck walkways underneath the north side span of the Bridge.
