And finally… electric avenue

Fife Council’s Transportation Services has invested £46,000 in a new state-of-the-art electric road lining vehicle, marking a major step forward in sustainable infrastructure maintenance.
The all-electric equipment offers significant improvements over traditional diesel models — including lower emissions, enhanced safety, greater productivity, and improved service quality.
Cllr Altany Craik, Fife’s roads spokesperson, said: “This new road marking vehicle is a significant upgrade from our previous diesel-powered lorry. It will enable us to work more efficiently, safely, and sustainably, ensuring a higher standard of service for communities across Fife.”
The investment supports Fife Council’s wider commitment to carbon reduction, helping deliver essential services with minimal environmental impact.
