Global engineering and construction firm Burns & McDonnell has strengthened its UK operations with the appointment of Stacey Williams as supply chain manager, a role central to the delivery of electric transmission projects across the country.

Ms Williams brings more than a decade of experience in EPC procurement delivery within the transmission and distribution sector. Throughout her career, she has improved and led cross-team collaborations, streamlined operations and improved efficiencies to deliver tangible impact across projects and organisations.

As supply chain manager, Ms Williams will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining a comprehensive supply chain strategy for the firm’s electric transmission projects in the UK. Collaborating across the UK offices of Burns & McDonnell in Birmingham, London and Glasgow, she will lead supply chain and procurement functions in a way that delivers value and efficiency, while building robust and collaborative relationships with suppliers and partners.

Her appointment also provides a strategic bridge between Burns & McDonnell operations in the UK and its global headquarters in the United States, reinforcing the company’s commitment to integrated, international excellence.

Stacey Williams, supply chain manager at Burns & McDonnell, said: “I’m excited to be joining Burns & McDonnell at such a pivotal time for the transmission and distribution sector. I’m passionate about building and shaping supply chains that are not only efficient and resilient but also drive innovation and growth. By working closely with colleagues, partners and stakeholders, I hope to strengthen the frameworks that underpin project delivery and see that we can support the UK’s portfolio with confidence.”

The appointment marks another important step in strengthening the Transmission & Distribution practice, following Jason Chandler’s promotion to managing director earlier this year, and further enhances the firm’s ability to deliver for clients in critical energy projects across the UK.

Jason Chandler, UK transmission and distribution managing director at Burns & McDonnell, added: “Stacey’s extensive experience in procurement and supply chain management, combined with her collaborative approach, will be a real asset for our Transmission & Distribution practice. A strong and resilient supply chain is central to our ability to deliver projects that are critical to the country’s energy future, and Stacey will play an important role in achieving that.”

Shawn Briggs, managing director, EPC Projects at Burns & McDonnell, commented: “Stacey’s appointment reflects our commitment to building a supply chain that is robust, innovative and aligned with our clients’ long-term goals. Her skills and experience will be invaluable as we continue to expand our global Transmission & Distribution offering, delivering the complex infrastructure projects that are vital to supporting the UK’s clean energy transition.”
