Cala helps Aberdeen under 10s girls’ team kick off season in style
Cala Homes (North) has supported Aberdeen City Ladies FC’s Under-10s 7v7 Whites team with the donation of brand-new football kits, ahead of their season kicking off in March.
Aberdeen City Ladies FC has numerous age groups, ranging from Under-8s to an adult team, and is the only dedicated grassroots women’s football club in the North East of Scotland.
The Under 10’s team currently trains at Aberdeen Sports Village, located just five minutes from Cala Homes’ neighbouring Silverburn development where first homeowners are due to move in this spring.
Club coach Robbie Shaw said: “Supporting young girls and women who are discovering a love for football is something that Aberdeen City Ladies FC has always aimed to do, especially as we’re now a registered charity as of December last year.
“Sponsoring a female sports club like ours is more than just visibility — it’s a statement. It shows Cala’s commitment to creating safe, inclusive spaces for women and girls in sport, building confidence, leadership, and resilience both on and off the pitch.
“The new kits look absolutely fantastic, and the team and I would like to thank Cala Homes for this amazing donation and for helping our Under-10s 7v7 Whites team continue to enjoy the beautiful game.”
The donation forms part of Cala Homes’ Community Pledge, the company’s commitment to investing in local communities in the areas in which it builds.
Nicola Lawson, sales administrator at Cala Homes (North), said: “We’re passionate about supporting the communities in which we build, and as soon as we heard Aberdeen City Ladies FC was looking for kit sponsorship for their Under-10s team, we were happy to help.
“It’s fantastic to support a club that does so much to encourage girls’ grassroots football across the region, and we wish the team the very best for the season ahead.”
Cala Homes has a collection of four- and five-bedroom homes available at its Silverburn development in Bridge of Don, Aberdeen.
