Clark Contracts celebrates 2025 Health and Safety Awards

Clark Contracts hosted its Annual Health and Safety Awards Ceremonies on Tuesday 9th and Thursday 11th December in the East and West of Scotland, celebrating company wide health and safety excellence.

Hosted by the main contractor’s Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) Manager the events were attended by all project teams. The events provide an overview of the company’s health and safety performance over the past year to their project teams, highlighting examples of best practice and any common issues, to minimise reoccurrence.

Prizes were then presented to the project teams and individuals recording the highest compliance rates in their site audits throughout the year, and to those who go beyond the minimum standards by implementing innovative techniques.

The awards up for grabs at the annual ceremony included:

  • 4th Quarter Divisional Health and Safety Awards
  • Project of the Year
  • Contracts Manager of the Year

Throughout the year, at the end of each quarter, awards are presented to the highest performing project teams from the Construction, Housing, Fit Out and Refurbishment Divisions. During the awards ceremony, the fourth quarter awards were presented to the best performing teams from each of the divisions, before moving on to the annual awards.

The prestigious ‘Project of the Year’ award was presented to the team delivering 250 St Vincent Street, Glasgow. This project involves the major refurbishment of a former office building, to provide new high quality student accommodation. This project was selected due to demonstrating a high level of compliance in all areas of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Management, along with beyond compliance initiatives. The project is being delivered in Glasgow City Centre and is a logistically challenged site.

The Contracts Manager of the Year award was presented to a Senior Contracts Manager from the Refurbishment division who achieved the highest compliance rate across 13 projects.

Clark Contracts said it places health and safety at the core of the business, and in 2025 was presented with a fifth consecutive Order of Distinction award from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA)’s following 19 Gold Medal awards.
