Clark Contracts donates back-to-school items for children

Clark Contracts has donated more than £500 of back-to-school items to help children and young people as they get ready for the academic year.

Made by Clark’s employees during the summer, the donations included school uniforms, stationery, school bags and other vital items suitable for children of different ages and educational stages.

The items were donated to the STAR Project in Paisley as well as Edinburgh School Uniform Bank, to allocate to local families for the new academic year.

STAR Project said: “Families are under more financial pressure than ever, and children go through school uniforms so quickly.

“Knowing they can access such items through STAR helps take the pressure off.”

Edinburgh School Uniform Bank said: “Demand for uniform support across Edinburgh is very high, making this partnership critical.

“Thanks to Clark Contracts’ generous donation of backpacks, stationery, and uniform items, local children are walking into school this term with confidence, wearing clothes they feel good about and having vital stationery supplies in their backpacks.”

Edinburgh School Uniform Bank added: “This support directly helps us ensure that no child starts the school year feeling left behind.”

Gordon Cunningham, managing director of Clark Contracts, said: “We are pleased to once again support local children and families through our back-to-school collection, which we have now run for the last three years.

“Education plays an important role in helping young people reach their potential, and we hope these items will help provide a positive start to the new school year.”
