Details: Due to the age and ongoing safety issues with the fabric of the Hangar roof, several surveys have been undertaken at various stage to identify structural weaknesses. There are issues with the doors in both gables with corrosion to the cladding and steel frame, and there are issues internally associated with water ingress. HIAL are proceeding with the appointment of a main contractor to undertake the rehabilitation works to Gaydon Hanger as part of the investment strategy for the airport.
