Dunbar youth football team scores kit support from Cala Homes
Dunbar United Football Club has received funding from Cala Homes (East) as part of the homebuilder’s commitment to investing in local communities in the areas in which it builds.
Cala Homes has pledged £2,500 to the local under-20s youth team as part of its Community Pledge initiative for its Longbanks Green development, located in Dunbar, in close proximity to the Golf Club.
Thanks to the funding, the Cala Homes logo is proudly displayed on the Dunbar United FC youth kit whilst the funding has also made kit replacements more accessible to the team.
The donation comes as part of Cala’s Longbanks Green Community Pledge, an initiative that goes further than planning expectations by supporting local groups in the area through donations and volunteering, and by providing educational resources about the homebuilding industry.
Stuart Allan, team manager of the under-20s youth team, said: “We’re delighted to have the sponsorship and support of Cala. Their donation makes a huge difference to us a team, especially with any kit replacements we might need during the season.
“The team works incredibly hard, and we’re proud to display Cala on our kits. We want to give our thanks to everyone at Cala Homes (East), their support helps us continue to give our all to our players.”
Elaine Carrigan, sales and marketing director at Cala Homes (East), added: “Supporting youth sports is one of the most important ways we can invest in our communities.
“Our Community Pledge means more than just building homes, it allows us to build opportunities for the organisations closest to our developments. We’re incredibly proud to support Dunbar United FC U20s this season.”
Cala’s Community Pledge represents an evolution of work the homebuilder been doing for many years within the communities in which it builds, ensuring support of the local areas and people who live there.
