Internal glass solutions specialist Indeglas has secured equity investment from UKSE.

The funding will support Indeglas’s ambitious growth strategy, enabling the company to scale up delivery on major projects, invest in new talent and apprenticeships, and strengthen its presence in key markets across the UK.

Based at its headquarters in Cumbernauld and currently employing 10 staff, Indeglas has recently won its largest contract to date - the internal glazing package within New Zealand House in Pall Mall, London. This ambitious, retrofit project, for client Multiplex, is being carried out for Crown Estates.

The prestigious contract includes some of the most ambitious, bespoke internal glazed screen solutions yet produced by the Indeglas team and with a value of over £2million, the award reflects the company’s positioning as one of the UK’s leading internal glass specialists.

Founded by Jeanette MacIntyre, Indeglas has earned a strong reputation for delivering precision-designed glazed systems to high-specification construction and refurbishment projects across the UK for over twenty-five years.

The company’s recent work has gathered a clutch of impressive awards, including £1M+ contracts for the Advanced Research Centre (ARC) and Adam Smith Business School (ASBS) for the University of Glasgow and the Edinburgh Futures Institute (EFI) at the University of Edinburgh.

These complex projects involved bespoke engineering and specialist glazed screen solutions, designed to maximise human connectivity with natural light and deliver impressively high-performance specifications. The ARC project was recognised nationally, winning ‘Project of the Year’ for all interior and finishes projects at the Finishes and Interiors Sector (FIS) 2023 Contractors National Awards.

These accolades highlight the team’s commitment to design excellence and innovation.

Jeanette MacIntyre, managing director of Indeglas, said: “Support from UKSE comes at a pivotal moment for Indeglas, as we enter an exciting new phase of growth. We’re engaged in projects that are not only technically complex but also socially meaningful, particularly within the university sector, where our work is helping to shape the environments that attract and nurture the next generation of talent.

“We’re especially proud to be delivering the internal glass screens for the High Commission of New Zealand in London, a landmark project that reflects our expanding expertise in high-profile, design-led environments. The funding from UKSE strengthens our financial foundation and gives us the confidence to scale with purpose, while continuing to invest in our people and capabilities.”

Marc Davey, regional executive at UKSE, said: “Indeglas is a standout example of a Scottish business with specialist expertise and a clear growth trajectory. Their track record of delivery on high-profile projects, and their emphasis on workforce development and innovation, make them exactly the kind of company we are proud to support.

“We look forward to seeing the continued success of Jeanette and her team.”
