Lovell appoints David Carmichael as land director for Scotland
David Carmichael has joined partnership housing developer Lovell as land director for Scotland.
His newly-created role with Lovell, part of Morgan Sindall Group, will see David oversee land acquisition in Scotland, North Wales and the North West of England, working with the company’s partners to meet the urgent demand for new homes.
He joins Lovell following a 13-year career with Keepmoat where he was group land and partnerships director and was also previously land and development director for Gleeson Regeneration and Homes.
Lovell managing director Steve Coleby said: “We are delighted that David is spearheading our ambitious land-buying programme across Scotland, the North West of England, and North Wales, ensuring that we make the most of the substantial opportunities which exist for the business.
“He brings an outstanding industry record, a comprehensive knowledge of the market and extensive experience of partnership working to deliver business growth.
“We’re very excited to have attracted someone of his standing to this important role which will further strengthen our presence in these key regions through the acquisition of high-quality sites in desirable locations.”
Lovell expects to build more than 350 homes in Scotland during 2019.
