Maxi Construction wins multi-million pound Edinburgh schools work

Livingston-based building contractor Maxi Construction has secured over £6.8m of work for The City of Edinburgh Council for extension and refurbishment projects to primary schools.

Works at Queensferry Primary School include a 4-classroom extension and refurbishment works including fabric repairs and mechanical and electrical upgrades.

Refurbishment works at St Mary’s RC (Leith) Primary School include roof replacement and stonework/building fabric repairs.



At Balgreen and Clermiston Primary Schools works include fabric repairs and upgrades to mechanical and electrical systems.

John Aitchison, Maxi Construction’s Managing Director, said “We’re delighted to continue our association with The City of Edinburgh Council and to add to our experience of delivering construction works within live school environments. The award of these contracts has already resulted in 2 new employees joining the company and the provision of training and development activities for members of our supply chain.”
