Ogilvie Group appoints new chairman

Ogilvie Group has appointed Willie MacDiarmid as its new chairman.

Currently chairman of Fallago Rig Wind Farm Ltd and a non executive director at Smart Metering Systems and Business Stream, Mr MacDiarmid has an extensive track record in chair, non-executive director and CEO roles, delivering outstanding results in a range of sectors including energy, construction, fleet and healthcare.

He has been CEO at both Barchester Healthcare and May Gurney and was on the main board at E.A.G.A. PLC. He was also on the senior executive team at ScottishPower in charge of its energy retail business.

Last year Ogilvie Group increased profitability by 33 per cent to £4 million on turnover of £210m across its operating companies, which include construction, fleet, housebuilding and IT and communications services.
