Paul Thain leaves Amey to join Tilbury Douglas

Tilbury Douglas has announced the appointment of a new commercial director for its infrastructure business.

Paul Thain will join Tilbury Douglas (formerly Interserve) next month to support and drive the company’s growing infrastructure business. Paul will sit on the infrastructure senior leadership team and will report to Chris Tyerman, managing director for infrastructure.

Paul brings with him over 35 years of commercial and operational experience working on infrastructure projects and repair and maintenance, within the rail and utility sectors.

In his previous role, Paul was commercial director at Amey Utilities where he helped secure new contracts in water, power and telecoms, ensuring commercial governance and undertaking business-wide commercial training and development.

Paul has a particular passion for the development and enhancement of UK infrastructure and is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Civil Engineering Surveyors.
