Persimmon raises £14,500 for Children's Hospices Across Scotland

Persimmon Homes North Scotland has raised an impressive £14,500 for Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS) through its annual Charity Golf Day, held this year at Kinross Golf Club.

The event brought together teams from across the construction industry and beyond for a day of sport, networking, and fundraising – all in support of a charity that provides vital care for children with life-shortening conditions and their families.

More than 100 golfers teed off in a shotgun start and battled some challenging weather conditions to complete 18 holes, before returning to The Green Hotel for a well-earned meal. The day also featured exciting on-course challenges such as Beat the Pro, Longest Drive, and Closest to the Pin, with generous sponsorship backing helping to boost the fundraising total.

Jack Campbell, who organised the day for Persimmon Homes North Scotland, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to have raised £14,500 for CHAS. The generosity shown by all our players, sponsors and supporters has been phenomenal. This money will go a long way in helping CHAS continue their incredible work across Scotland.”

James MacKay, Persimmon North Scotland managing director, added: “Over the last two and a half years, our partnership with CHAS has gone from strength to strength and we’re determined to raise as much money as we can again this year. I want to say a big thank you to all our contractors, colleagues and other partners for digging deep to support such an important charity.”

This year’s event builds on Persimmon North Scotland’s long-standing support for CHAS, with staff at its Perth headquarters having selected CHAS as their charity of the year for the third year running. Over the past two years, the home builder has raised almost £100,000 to support the vital services CHAS provides, including at Rachel House Hospice in Kinross.
