Reid Mitchell HD relocates Edinburgh office
Independent property and construction consultancy Reid Mitchell HD (RMHD) has relocated its Edinburgh office from Manor Place in the West End to new premises at 3 Warriston’s Close, in the heart of the city’s historic Old Town.
The move reflects the company’s continuing growth and creates a central hub from which its multidisciplinary teams can support clients across Scotland and the wider UK.
The relocation follows a period of significant growth for RMHD, including its recent appointment to the Government Commercial Agency’s Construction Professional Services 2 Framework under Lot 3 – Project Management.
As the only Scottish-headquartered consultancy appointed as a lead supplier on the lot, the firm continues to strengthen its position within the public sector while expanding its reach across the UK. The new Edinburgh office provides a platform to support this growth, offering enhanced facilities for collaboration, client engagement and project delivery.
Located just off the Royal Mile and only a short walk from Edinburgh Waverley Station, the self-contained office combines period character with modern facilities, offering an inspiring and highly accessible working environment in one of Edinburgh’s most distinctive locations.
The 1,300 sq ft office has been refurbished to a high standard and includes dedicated meeting and collaboration spaces, modern breakout facilities and enhanced opportunities for client engagement and team working.
The relocation further strengthens RMHD’s presence in Scotland’s capital following the merger of Reid Mitchell Ltd and HD Property Consultants in 2025, which created an employee-owned consultancy providing project management, cost and commercial management, building surveying and CDM/Principal Designer services. The Edinburgh office complements the firm’s operations across the UK and supports its growing portfolio of work within the public and private sectors.
Greig Mitchell, a founding director at Reid Mitchell HD, said: “Our move to Warriston’s Close marks an exciting new chapter for RMHD in Edinburgh. As our business continues to grow, it was important that we secured a space that reflects both our ambition and our culture.
“The new office provides an excellent environment for our team and offers a welcoming and accessible location for clients and collaborators. Being situated in the heart of Edinburgh’s Old Town places us at the centre of one of the UK’s most vibrant business and cultural destinations, while maintaining excellent transport links across Scotland and beyond.
“This investment demonstrates our long-term commitment to Edinburgh and underlines our confidence in the future growth of the business.”
