Sauchie Juniors secures £2,600 from Persimmon Homes
A local grassroots football team in Sauchie is celebrating a boost after Persimmon Homes North Scotland donated £2,600 to support its girls’ Under-14s team.
Sauchie Juniors offers opportunities for children across Sauchie and nearby villages to enjoy football regardless of background or ability.
The donation will fund essential equipment for the Under-14s squad, including 18 tracksuits with Persimmon branding, windproof jackets, rain jackets, training sets, new benches, and training bags—ensuring the girls are ready to train and compete with pride.
The team had been fundraising through local events but needed extra support to ensure all players had the kit they required. Persimmon’s sponsorship guarantees the Under-14s are fully equipped for the season, helping to build confidence, teamwork, and a sense of community spirit.
James MacKay, managing director of Persimmon Homes North Scotland, said: “At Persimmon, we’re committed to supporting the communities where we operate, and that means investing in young people.
“Clubs like Sauchie Juniors do an incredible job of nurturing not only sporting talent but also confidence, teamwork, and resilience. We’re proud to help them continue that great work and wish the Under-14s girls every success for the seasons ahead.”
The donation was made through Persimmon’s Community Champions initiative, which donates at least £6,000 each quarter to clubs and charities in areas where the company operates.
