SITECH has become a member of the SPOA to boost its current relationships and foster growth in the industry.

As the sole trade body representing the Scottish plant industry in its entirety, the SPOA has 250 members. This includes Scottish plant hire companies and suppliers.

Liam Payne, technical sales consultant at SITECH UK & Ireland, said: “SITECH is proud to become a member of the SPOA as it represents a mark of quality in the industry.

“Having already attended events in Aberdeen, we have seen immediate benefits from membership, including networking with prospective clients in mechanical, electrical, power and renewables businesses, which has translated into multiple sales opportunities.”

Payne added: “By combining both on- and off-machine technology, plant hire operators can benefit from precision earthmoving, improved performance and reduced rework.”

Gail McEwen, vice president of the Scottish Plant Owners Association, said: “To meet rising demand, construction firms are rethinking how they approach projects from start to finish.

“Technology is transforming the construction landscape across Scotland, and digital tools are helping projects achieve better levels of productivity, accuracy, safety and sustainability.”

McEwen added: “The SPOA is pleased to welcome SITECH as a new member, contributing to the wider digital innovation taking place across the plant and construction sectors.”
