Martin Findlay, technical director from Taylor Wimpey West Scotland, donates some winter essentials to the Glasgow Youth Housing Hub in Govan
Taylor Wimpey West Scotland has donated 165 socks, gloves, scarves and hats to the Glasgow Youth Housing Hub in Govan – run by youth homelessness charity, Rock Trust.
As part of its Wrap Up Warm campaign, the homebuilder has donated over 14,000 much-needed winter essentials to 24 homelessness centres in England, Scotland and Wales in support of its national charity partners - CRASH, St Mungo’s and Crisis.
Amelie Decroix, coordinator at Rock Trust’s Glasgow Youth Housing Hub, said: “Although Christmas is a happy time for many, it can also highlight the real struggles some people face.
“We are grateful to Taylor Wimpey West Scotland for their efforts in donating warm clothing to those experiencing homelessness during the winter months. Their contribution will make a real difference to people in need. You can also support Rock Trust’s Christmas appeal – because nobody should be left out in the cold.”
Martin Findlay, technical director for Taylor Wimpey West Scotland, said: “Rock Trust and its Glasgow Youth Housing Hub provide vital service and support to young people experiencing or at risk of homelessness, and we hope that our donation will go some way to providing some comfort to those without a home this Christmas.”
