An East Renfrewshire joinery and construction company has become Scotland’s 100th Living Wage accredited company.

Work on the new Barrhead High School in East Renfrewshire is to start next year after a new site was chosen for the replacement secondary. East Renfrewshire Council said the new campus will be in Cowan Park, next to the existing school near the Johnny Kelly Pavilion.

Health secretary Alex Neil has announced the go ahead for the new community health and care centre in East Renfrewshire and another facility in Glasgow.
