Health Secretary Shona Robison MSP has cut the first ground on the £48 million first phase of redevelopments at the Royal Edinburgh Campus.

West Lothian Council has revealed that work on a new £7.6 million Blackburn Partnership Centre could start as early as spring.

Morrison Construction has reached financial close on the £45.2 million Hub South East Scotland Ltd contract for NHS Lothian to build and operate the first phase of the redevelopment of the Royal Edinburgh Hospital.

The £48 million phase one redevelopment of the Royal Edinburgh Hospital is set to start later this month following the approval of the Full Business Case by the Scottish Government.
