Taylor Wimpey East Scotland has donated £1,000 to Chris Ewing Karate (CEK) based in Musselburgh on behalf of local development at Ravensheugh, St Clements Wells, Wallyford.

Commenting on the support that it has received from Taylor Wimpey East Scotland, Chris Ewing, director of CEK said: “We are delighted and extremely grateful for the support that we have received from Taylor Wimpey. We can’t thank them enough for their generous donation of £1,000 which will go towards the overall costs associated with delivering our full range of children’s karate classes in Musselburgh, which attracts participants of all ages from the wider local area including neighbouring Wallyford.”

Kirsty McGill, sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey East Scotland, said: “We are delighted to be able to support Chris Ewing Karate in this way and we’re sure it will support a number of children to perhaps try this sport for the first time. The club is right on the doorstep of our Ravensheugh development in Wallyford, and it is a key part of the  local community with hundreds of children and adults taking part in the classes and competitions that run at the club.

“Being able to work with local businesses and organisations that surround our developments means a great deal to us and it’s great to know that we are helping to make a difference within the local communities where we build.”

Taylor Wimpey’s donation and assistance to CEK is one of the many contributions being made by the housebuilder towards community facilities and infrastructure in the wider area.
