Taylor Wimpey East Scotland volunteers recently volunteered at the Community Woods and Garden in Polbeth and West Calder.
The volunteering arrives at a time when work is getting underway at Limefield Grove, which is the most recent development of Taylor Wimpey East Scotland in the local area.
The volunteers helped with a variety of tasks on the site, such as clearing and preparing planting areas and helping with general maintenance and tidying to support the charity’s work in keeping the woods and garden both accessible and welcoming for local residents.
Gary Anderson, a senior architectural technician for Taylor Wimpey East Scotland, who organised the volunteering session for his colleagues, said: “We’re always looking for ways to give back to the communities around our developments, and spending the day at the Community Woods and Garden was a fantastic opportunity to do just that.
“As work at our Limefield Grove development gets underway nearby, we’re committed to continuing our support for local groups and helping strengthen the community we’re building within.”
Sarah Livingstone, community woods and garden manager, said: “We were delighted to welcome the Taylor Wimpey East Scotland team to the woods and garden.
“Their help made a real difference, and it’s great to see a local developer taking such an active interest in supporting community spaces.”
Livingstone added: “Volunteers are vital to keeping this area thriving, and we’re grateful for their time, energy, and enthusiasm.”
