Dandara Scotland has been shortlisted for two major accolades at this year’s Premier Guarantee Excellence Awards, recognising outstanding achievements in housebuilding, site management and construction quality.

Colin Watson, from Tranent, has been named a finalist for one of the construction industry’s most respected honours - Site Manager of the Year.

Watson, who manages Dandara Scotland’s The Pines development in Wallyford, East Lothian, will represent the company at the national finals taking place at London’s Nobu Hotel on Friday, September 25.

Created to celebrate excellence across the housebuilding industry, the awards are highly competitive, with Watson shortlisted alongside three other leading site managers from North and South of England and Wales.

The recognition continues a successful run for The Pines, which has previously won three Premier Guarantee awards and was nominated for Development of the Year (101-150) units in 2025, recognising exceptional standards in build quality, health and safety, site presentation and teamwork.

Dandara Scotland is also celebrating success in this year’s awards for its Foxhall Gait development in Kirkliston, near Edinburgh, which has been shortlisted in the Development of the Year category for sites with 101–150 units.

Foxhall Gait is one of four developments competing for the title and will go head-to-head with another Dandara development, Braeburn Fields in Crowborough, East Sussex.

Lee Ogg, managing director of Dandara Scotland, said: “To be shortlisted for one award is a fantastic achievement, but to receive recognition in two categories is truly exceptional.

“Colin’s nomination is a testament to his dedication, attention to detail and leadership. He has built an outstanding team at The Pines, and that commitment is reflected in the high-quality homes and thriving community that have been created there.

“We are equally proud of the team at Foxhall Gait. The development is now sold out and has become a flourishing new community for homeowners.”

In total, Dandara has been nominated for five awards across Scotland and England, with Pearmain Place and Braeburn Fields in Crowborough, East Sussex and Old Sarum in Wiltshire also being shortlisted in different categories for Development of the Year titles.

Paul Ebbs, Dandara’s divisional managing director, said: “These nominations are a significant achievement and are a direct reflection of the hard work, professionalism and commitment shown by our teams across all regions and disciplines. Recognition of this nature does not happen by chance, it is built through consistency, collaboration, attention to detail and the collective effort of people across the wider business.

“Whilst the nominations rightly highlight specific developments and individuals, they also represent the strength of Dandara as a whole and the standards we continue to set as we grow and progress the business further.”
