Kirkwood Homes has reignited plans for a £100 million hotel and residential development near Banchory. The developer has submitted a proposal of application notice (POAN) to Aberdeenshire Council for a tourism and leisure hotel development and up to 100 homes in Inchmarlo.

Work is being undertaken to remove asbestos from 160 council-owned homes in Aberdeenshire. The substance was found as Aberdeenshire Council initiated a modernisation programme for the homes.

Councillors have approved plans for the development of 175 homes at Leathan Fields in Portlethen. Stewart Milne Homes will build the new homes, 46 of which will be affordable houses, beside Hillside School.
