Glasgow based construction company and manufacturing specialist CCG has commenced building 20 new residential properties at Sixth Street in Uddingston. The development, in partnership with Clyde Valley Housing Association, will include 14 terraced houses and one block of 6 flats.

Scottish private construction company CCG has recently taken on twenty one new apprentices, taking the total to 61 apprentices working in the company. The firm believes that developing the next generation of skilled trades is critical to the long term sustainability of the construction sector.

Plans will be lodged next week for the second phase of housing at the Athletes’ Village, in Glasgow which could see a further 200 new homes built at the site, according to the Evening Times. A school and shops are also planned, with work due to start next year. Developer City Legacy intends to lod
