Borders College The Scottish Government has granted funding towards four key enterprise projects which aim to reinvigorate the South of Scotland’s economy and stimulate inclusive growth.

Jim Clark Room Works to redevelop and expand the Jim Clark Room in Duns will start this summer, with Hawick firm James Swinton & Co Ltd winning the contract for the works.

Construction materials group Breedon has completed the acquisition of Blinkbonny Quarry (Borders) Limited for an undisclosed sum. Blinkbonny operates a quarry and ready-mixed concrete plant near Kelso in the Scottish Borders, employing 14 people.

The Roxburghe hotel and golf course, near Kelso in the Scottish Borders has been sold to Düsseldorf-based project developer and hotel operator 12.18. Investment Management GmbH, having been marketed for offers in excess of £3.25 million.
